Blueprints for the Holy Temple
The Temple Institute reveal blueprints and computer animation for parts of the Holy Temple complex, more precisely the Chamber of Hewn Stone which is the seat of the high council of seventy elders—the Sanhedrin (Num 11:16-17). It’s probably old news by now, but the first time I have seen it. The Sanhedrin Assembly Hall is impressive, but, more than that, pondering the idea of something so ancient and sacred translated into our modern time by architectural designers is a bit mind boggling. I wonder what the architect Shmuel Balsam felt like working on this.
The Temple Institute presents for the first time, complete and highly detailed blueprints of the Sanhedrin Assembly Hall, the Chamber of Hewn Stone, part of the Holy Temple complex itself. These plans, drawn up by a top Israeli architectural firm hired by the Temple Institute, incorporate modern technological innovation while remaining true to the specific requirements of the Sanhedrin. These plans represent the first stage in the drawing up of comprehensive architectural plans for the entire Holy Temple complex. This video is based on these plans.
